CLAY SCULPTURE WORKSHOP: SCULPTING THE HUMAN TORSO

In this one-day sculpture workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of sculpting a human torso in clay, focusing on structure, form, and basic muscles. By the end of the day, you will have a completed torso sculpture to take home.

You will:

  • Build a simple armature and base structure for your torso sculpture.

  • Learn the key forms of the ribcage, pelvis, and major muscle groups

  • Understand how posture and movement influence the torso

  • Shape, refine, and develop the form of your torso sculpture.

 

What you will get:

  • Personalised instruction throughout the workshop

  • Access to sculpting trestles, tools, and materials

  • A finished clay torso sculpture to take home

 

Knowledge required:

Beginner-friendly.

 

What to bring:

  • Bring your own lunch — there will be a 30-minute lunch break

  • Clothes you do not mind getting a little dirty

All materials are included in the $280 fee, along with full use of studio tools for the day.
